Driving home very late one
night from working (I had a case going to trial) I had one of those epiphany moments where I realized what was truly important in my life: (1) Loving and taking care of my family and animals and (2) helping the Washington Thoroughbred Industry survive and thrive. Although (2) may seem like a small and possibly less meaningful goal; I can assure you it is not. The industry in the state employees thousands of people who take care of these animals. A viable Thoroughbred Industry also protects acres of land from being developed.
So my goal is completely unselfish: do whatever I can to help the Thoroughbred Industry in this state even if it means sacrifice on my part. As a result, I joined the WTBOA and WTF to assist in helping this industry. I hope to someday be involved in other organizations and even help with racetrack management.
I also want to acquire an "elite broodmare band". Sort of like my own little Juddmonte in Washington.
My horse racing Triple Crown is:
(1) To be Washington Breeder of year
(2) Breed or own a Breeders' Cup Mile Winner (My favorite race)
(3) Win the Eclipse
Award for Top Handicapper.
