Broodmare of the Week Sponsored by the Cambodian Board of Tourism

One of the great things about being the owner of a blog is that you get to see certain stats about how many people are viewing your blog and what countries people are viewing your blog from. I was surprised to find out that someone in Cambodia actually looked at my website. Better yet, that person from Cambodia recently contacted me by email. However, it was not a Cambodian but rather an actual Nigerian Prince who happens to be vacationing in Angkor Wat. After a few back and forths, he decided to permanently sponsor the "Broodmare of the Week" and I only have to send him my checking and routing number.***

Broodmare of the Week goes to Bianconi Baby whose son Scat Daddybaby took a very good allowance race on Sunday in 108.20. Let’s take a look at Bianconi Baby’s pedigree:

Bianconi Baby was purchased for $12,000 by Halvorson Bloodstock at the Keeneland September 2002 sale. Bianconi Baby raced for the Feuerborns and Maryanskis winning 3 of 7 races and over $76,000.  Most importantly, she won the Washington Breeders’ Cup Oaks in 2004:

The Feuerborns raced Bianconi Baby’s first four foals: Include the Baby, El Gran Bebe, Surgeon and Scat Daddybaby. Include the Baby by, shockingly, Include won over $77,000 with wins at Emerald Downs and Turf Paradise. El Gran Bebe, by Friends Lake, won almost $75,000, with wins at Emerald Downs and Golden Gate. Surgeon, by Purge, couldn’t quite cut it (get it?) and made just a little over $18,000. Scat Daddybaby has been discussed ad naseum the last two weeks and you can look at my Monday post for analysis on him and his race.

Bianconi Baby has 4 winners from 5 to race. Bianconi Baby was put in the last two Keeneland sales but failed to meet her reserve each time. Her last three foals have all been Proud Citizens. The 2011 and 2012 colts sold for $110,000 and $40,000, respectively. Here is the catalog page for the 2011 colt:

The 2011 colt is named Eduardito. He ran twice in good Maiden Special Weight races at Gulfstream Park for Top Racing, LLC in late 2013 and has not been seen yet.

The 2012 colt, named Honored Citizen, was purchased by Michael Puhich, agent and recently had a 1 Furlong work at real dump of a place called Pegasus Training Center:

If there is such thing as heaven and I am lucky enough to go there (My record is clean. Haven’t even had a speeding ticket), I hope it looks like Pegasus Training Center. I am serious. And I hope all the horses look like Tiznow. Again, I am serious.

I imagine that the 2013 yearling colt by Proud Citizen will also be in the Keeneland September sale.

Always love your animals,

Will Brewer

Check the schnozz on the inside horse! It's bigger than mine, I don't lose by a nose!
Personally, I would rather represent the Nigerian Prince because he's got all the money.
