Washington Breds Week 9 through 11

First, Happy 4th of July weekend. I have always thought that horses and fireworks go really well together.

This will be a short post since I have a horse running in the second today and have to leave soon.

I took a break from the Washington-bred posts for the last three weeks because those posts get the least amount of "hits" (i.e., people not reading them) so I am trying to revamp and figure out the best way to get people interested in the post. If you have any ideas, please pass them along. Personally, I think the Washington-bred posts are the most important because it shows that they are the backbone of the racing industry and we need to keep reminding those in government the importance of our industry with respect to jobs and saving agricultural land. We need to do that with statistics and numbers they can understand.

Until I figure out how to revise, let's play a little catch up and focus on the main statistics for the last three weeks.

(1) Washington-breds won 46 of the 82 thoroughbred races in the last three weeks.
(2) Washington-breds are the leaders in almost every division:

Older Male: Stryker Phd
3yo Filly: Find Your Spot/Chu and You
3yo Colt: Del Rio Harbor
2yo Colt: Trackattacker

Sires who had multiple Washington-bred wins in the last three weeks:

Harbor the Gold: 8
Liberty Gold: 3
