Race 2 Friday: The Kat is back winning a duel with Advancement to run 6 Furlongs in 1:09.09.  Mr. Top Kat is by Katowice out of Czechmate Miss (He’s Tops).  There is a two-year-old half by Parker’s Storm Cat waiting in the wings along with a Well Informed yearling and a Parker’s Storm Cat foal that was born in March.

Race 3 Friday: Won by Happy Childhood in 1:10.55.  By Cahill Road out of Ann Michelle (Leading Hour), Happy Childhood finally broke his maiden as a 5-year-old.  

Race 4 Friday: Won by Kahului Bluff in 1:09.49 for the 6 Furlong Maiden $20,000 claiming race. By Raise the Bluff and out of Summer Straw (Basket Weave), the Bluff recently shipped up from Turf Paradise to break his maiden.  

Race 6 Friday:  Won by Spot on Babe in 1:08.67 for 6 Furlongs. Spot on Babe has been on fire winning 3 races in a row. By Tribal Rule out of Irene’s Bonus Baby (Free At Last), Irene’s Bonus Baby has a two-year-old by Private Gold that is running on Sunday. In addition, she has a Papa Clem yearling and is expected to have a Coast Guard this year.

Race 7 Friday: Won by It’s Our Pleasure in 1:36.75 for the 8 Furlongs. By Free At Last out of Pleasure Fair (Robannier), It’s Our Pleasure is owned by Howard Belvoir.

Race 2 Saturday:  Won by Sixteen Reasons in 1:17.59 for the 6.5 Furlongs. By Soft Gold out of Sudden (Speed Jaro), the speed duel between Special Buttons and Miss Fast Eddie set up the winning move.  

Race 4 Saturday: Won by Chromatose in 1:10.80 for 6 Furlongs. By Klinsman out of Dazzling Daphne (Basket Weave), Chromatose won at odds of 14.30-1.

Race 6 Saturday: Won by another longshot in Doctor Bruce S. By Carnation legend Packy and out of Laurel L (Game Plan), Bruce finished the 6.5 Furlongs in 1:15.51. Another closer who won at odds of 17.20-1.

Race 7 Saturday: Another win for Memphis Beach who ran the 6 Furlongs in 1:08.49. By Harbor the Gold out of Chic Crossing (Valley Crossing), Memphis Beach was claimed out of the race by Mary Pirone.

Race 8 Saturday: Won by Kenai King in 1:09.62. By Harbor the Gold out of Kirkela (Giant’s Causeway), Kenai King came from over 8 lengths back to win.  We will likely see Kenai King in the next stakes race for 3-year-old colts.

Race 9 Saturday: Won by Our Pretty Woman in 1:03.39 for the 5.5 Furlongs. By Flying With Eagles out of Knights Kaffer (Tough Knight), Our Pretty Woman was bred by the Hallowells.

Race 2 Sunday: Won by Trackattacker in 49.98, a track record. You can read more about this horse and his dam Eclatante here:


Race 3 Sunday: Won by Magic Molly in 1:11.12 for the 6 Furlongs. By Free At Last out of Exclusive Molly (La Saboteur), Magic Molly has cleared her maiden condition.

Race 4 Sunday: Won by Chrissy’s Wedding in 1:17.35 for 6.5 Furlongs. By Polish Miner out of Musical Selection (Knights Choice), Chrissy’s Wedding was bred by Gary Jackson in Yakima.

Race 5 Sunday: Won by Trick or Retreat in 1:09.14.  By Harbor the Gold and out of Retreat After Me (Liberty Gold), Trick or Retreat finally breaks his maiden and should be on to stakes races at some point.

Race 6 Sunday:  This was a pretty cool win by 10-year-old mare Sun City. By Snowbound out of One Misty Morning (Sharper One), Sun City was born on May 6, 2004 and won in 1:10.24 for 6 Furlongs

Race 7 Sunday:  Won by He’s All Heart in 1:08.97. By Private Gold out of Big Headache (Chequer), He’s All Heart was bred by the Washington Thoroughbred Foundation.

Race 10 Sunday: Won by Lean Cozzene in 1:09.63 for 6 Furlongs. By Devine Cozzene out of Nearly Wild (Free At Last), Lean Cozzene was bred by the Gibsons.
